Walk/Talk

This is the third area in which we have conducted Walk/Talks. Island Bay and Owhiro Bay have been our previous years’ venues. This walk begins at the Houghton Valley School Car Park goes up Houghton Bay Road as far as Houghton Valley Progressive Association Hall, then along View Road, down Hungerford Road, down Houghton Bay Road and westwards a little on The Esplanade. Return up Houghton Valley Road to the car park.
This walk is far more energetic than that of previous years. A steepish walk for one to one & a half hours. Learn about sites in Houghton Bay.
It is not suitable for people who walk only on the flat.
