Frocks on Bikes: Love to Roll – The Valentine’s Day Ride Where: From Freyburg pool, Oriental Parade to the Esplanade in Island Bay with an extra pick up at 3pm from the Lyall Bay surf club. When: February 14, 2010 – meet at 1.30pm for 2pm departure. How: By bicycle Why: For the love Giant Suede Ladies Bike to be won! This Valentine’s Day, couples and friends around Wellington can celebrate their love for each other, their love for riding a bike and their love for summer at the Frocks on Bikes romantic extravaganza: Love to Roll: the Valentine’s Day Ride. Register for the event and go in the draw to win the R & R Supreme Frocker Prize (a Giant Suede Ladies bike valued at $900) and Starfish, Emma and Duncan and Prudence vouchers. Register with a date and you’ll also go in the draw to win dinner for two at Duke Cavell’s. We will be congregating at the park next to Freyburg pool on Oriental Parade at 1.30pm with time to admire beautified bikes and their riders before a 2pm departure. We will cruise around the bays to Kilbirnie and pit stop outside the Lyall Bay surf club to collect riders who join us half way. At 3.00pm, we will continue around to the Island Bay festival where we can park and enjoy the festivities. At 3.45pm there will be a Frocks fashion parade and a prize giving ceremony at the Pavillion in Shorland Park in Island Bay. The R & R Supreme Frocker and the Starfish prizes will be randomly drawn from online registrations and winners will also be selected for the following categories so come prepared: The best dressed couple (Duke Cavell’s dinner for two) The best loved-up bike (Duncan and Prudence and Emma voucbers) There’s nothing like a bit of fresh air and a leisurely ride to get the romantic juices flowing so this Valentine’s Day, grab a date or bring yourself, register for ‘Love to roll’ and join us for this not-to-be missed event.
