Description

Island Bay library is hosting another writers night during the festival and we have invited along Roger Meecham, an ex-sailor, to spin us a yarn or two about the dangers and thrills of the ocean. Roger (Jan) Meecham is an acclaimed Wellington maritime historian. Starting his career in the British navy he went on to become a naval diver for many years before emigrating to New Zealand. The author of two successful non-fiction books of maritime history, “Dangerous Seas and Perilous Waters”. Roger has dived on, and investigated wrecks worldwide and has many a salty dog tale to tell.
Join us in welcoming Roger to his first talk at Island Bay library on Thursday 18th February at 7pm (talk will run for approx 45mins)
